Given his stardom and success in country music, the public knows Post Malone loves everything about Nashville and country music. Let’s hope he is here to say. Nevertheless, Malone’s love for the genre extends far beyond his own success. He is an avid country music fan and acknowledged this fact far before he entered the genre. That being so, Malone, who is seemingly the nicest of guys, pays credit where credit is due.

Many people have attested to this character attribute, but most recently it was Joe Nichols who attested to this virtuous characteristic of Malone. Nichols appeared on the Big D and Bubba radio show when he gave his anecdote about Malone’s fondness for him and his music, and how the superstar is simply “a real fan.”
Post Malone & Joe Nichols
The story of the two musicians takes form in a rather peculiar way. A member of Nichols’ team told him, “A weird thing happened, Post Malone is trying to get a hold of you…He wants you to do a show with him.” Nichols, who is popular in his own right, was completely shocked by the news seemingly due to the popularity disparity. However, Nichols met Malone at his F-1 Trillion release party and it was then the two got the chance to play “Brokenheartsville.”
Nichols told the radio hosts, “It was really crazy, a huge star like him was super excited for a guy like me to be on stage with him.” Seemingly Surreal for both Nichols and Malone. When Nichols started singing his No. 1 hit, “You would have thought I started singing something really classic,” said Nichols. This statement came as a result of Malone’s praise—”I think this is the greatest country song ever written.”
Leave it to the kind-hearted Malone to make such an ambitious statement and really mean it. Nichols followed up the remark by stating, “For a guy that’s probably seen a lot of music, that’s a very high praise.”
An Unexpected Answer
Surely no one saw this answer coming, but it did. Even though no specific facts point towards why Malone loves Nichols and “Brokenheartsville,” it doesn’t diminish the fact that he does.
Fans can probably imagine the ear-to-ear grin Malone put on when he learned about the chance to sing the song.
