Ryan Adams and the Avett Brothers are slated to headline South by Southwest’s “Music is Universal” showcase on March 16 in Austin, Texas.
The Universal Music Group and Marriott Rewards showcase will be the first time Adams and the Avett Brothers have shared a billing. The North Carolina folk-rock group will hit the road in March for a stacked tour with the support of Brandi Carlile. In addition to normal tour dates, they are set for several summer festival appearances, with both the Avett Brothers and Adams scheduled for Forecastle Festival in July.
The show begins at 8 p.m. and will be open to SXSW Music and Platinum badge-holders and Marriott Rewards members. SXSW’s music portion kicks off March 15 and runs through the 20.
