Are We Getting a Snoop Dogg Jazz Album?
When The Voice announced Snoop Dogg as a coach for season 26, many viewers were skeptical. The Long Beach, California-born artist rose to fame in the hip-hop genre. However, Snoop has made it clear that there is more to him.
“If you know anything about me, you know I love music of all forms,” he told Jimmy Fallon. “So this is a great opportunity for me to show that I really understand music and, you know, to be a real coach and to really give direction to some of these artists that could be today’s next big thing.
“I’m not one-sided… I’m for everybody,” he added. “I’m the people’s champ.”
Recently, the Grammy winner sat down for an interview with Bloomberg’s Lucas Shaw. Pointing out that Snoop has previously dabbled in Bollywood music and reggae, Shaw asked if he were looking to venture into any other genres. That’s when the rapper revealed he has already recorded a jazz album.
“It’s more or less like spoken word over jazz music,” he said, adding, “That was a genre that I always wanted to venture into because I felt like I had a jazz voice. I feel like my spirit was like one of those jazz musicians from back in the day.’
Snoop is set to release his 20th album, Missionary, next month. Longtime friend and collaborator Dr. Dre produced the record.

Would Snoop Watch an NFL Game With Taylor Swift?
Currently, NFL diehards can catch Snoop Dogg every week on ESPN performing the Monday Night Football theme with Chris Stapleton. And the D-O-Double G is a diehard NFL fan himself, riding hard for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Snoop’s beloved Steelers will face defending Super Bowl champions the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day. As most know, pop megastar Taylor Swift has been dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce for over a year. Will Snoop invite the “Karma” singer to his game-watching party?
“No, that ain’t happening,” he said bluntly. “When it comes to a Steelers game, it’s us or nobody. We don’t side with nobody else.”
