There have also been some pretty telling posts lately from the members of The Cure. Reeves Gabrels posted on Facebook yesterday to encourage fans to sign up for The Cure’s mailing list via their redesigned website.

Back in 2022, Robert Smith confirmed that the upcoming album would be titled Songs Of A Lost World.

“It’s got artwork, it’s got a running order, it’s almost done!” said Smith. “They’re so slow because of vinyl, but it might come in September. I’d rather it just came out. I can’t stand the anticipation.”

However, the album has still not been announced or released. But with the recent changes going on with the band’s social media and website, it looks like the album could be announced or even dropped very soon.

Is the Cure Going to Release a New Album?

Fans have been waiting for Songs Of A Lost World for quite some time now. That much is evident on all of the band’s social media pages since the aesthetic change, where fans have been commenting in droves in hopes that the new album will be announced or at least teased soon.

“Come on gents, announce the new album!” said one fan on Facebook.

“Please let it be finally an announcement of the new album!!” said another.

The band debuted the songs “A Fragile Thing”, “I Can Never Say Goodbye”, and Another Happy Birthday at Leeds Festival in 2022, which are likely going to appear on The Cure’s upcoming album.

The Cure has been making news in the last week ahead of the potential teaser for their upcoming album. The band has also recently announced a limited collection of artwork releases from “Shake Dog Shake” and “The Top”. The band will soon release two new live recordings for Earth Percent via Naked Record Club. Just as well, Roger O’Donnell took to social media recently to talk about his experience with “a very rare and aggressive form of lymphoma”, which he has been treating for 11 months.

Hopefully, the new album and maybe even a tour are in the works!
