Luke Bryan’s Supergroup Trio
In his recent interview with Taste of Country, Bryan was asked, “If you could form a country music trio, which other artists would you ask to join your group?” With much contemplation, Bryan responded, “Oh gosh, that’s probably gotta be … that’s tough!” Though, the singer finally answered, “Trio — me, and certainly Jason Aldean,” he said, adding: “And probably Dierks [Bentley], I like that.”
So, there you have it folks, if Luke Bryan ever forms a supergroup you know exactly who he is choosing. There are of course personal reasons for this answer, but on the surface, it seems Bryan picked these two musicians given that he has collaborated with the two of them on several different occasions. Concerning Aldean, Bryan and the singer have been friends for years, and they also covered Shenandoah’s classic song “Sunday in the South.”
Regarding Bryan’s relationship with Bentley, the two have been buddies for quite some time and have co-hosted the ACM awards on several different occasions. However, his answer seemingly makes everyone wonder, where is his better half, Blake Shelton? Given their humorous relationship, he’d surely make a great addition to the group.
Regardless, the question was all fun and games, and nothing serious will seemingly come of it. But, this is the music business, and far weirder things have happened.
