On Sunday, April 13, Thomas Rhett took quite a nasty stumble at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena during a surprise appearance with the Christian country artist Forrest Frank. Rhett’s presence at the show was entirely unexpected, and what it entailed was also unexpected. Per the video, Rhett fell and injured his ankle before stepping on stage. Despite the accident, Rhett performed “Nothing Else” alongside Forrest Frank.
Thomas Rhett surprised fans by making his way down from the stands. However, it is apparent that the country singer missed a step and rolled his ankle rather intensely. During his performance, spectators noticed that Rhett was having difficulty putting weight on his left ankle.

Regardless, Thomas Rhett handled the situation like a true professional and gave the fans exactly what they wanted. Following his duet, Rhett was wheeled out of the venue in a wheelchair and took to Instagram to share the news with the public.
Thomas Rhett Captures The Moment on Social Media
After Thomas Rhett’s accident, the country musician let the world know exactly what happened and that he was okay. In his post, the video showed Rhett hobbling on stage, performing his song, and then being rolled out of Bridgestone Arena by his wife, Lauren. Rhett commented in the post, “@hiforrest told me to pull up, and I left in a wheelchair.”
Rhett wasn’t the only individual to chime in on the matter, as Forrest Frank also wrote in the comments section, “ABSOLUTE CHAMPION.” Furthermore, country singer George Birdie simply wrote “Legend,” and @garretthornbuckle commented, “You handled this like a champ!!!! Seriously man you’re the real deal.” One other user wrote, “Bro broke his ankle and performed like nothing happened, That’s a pro’s pro.”
What started out as a harmless and routine guest appearance turned into quite the opposite. However, Rhett did not seem phased by the inconvenience, as he was smiling through the performance and after it. Of course, the country world is hoping for Rhett’s speedy recovery, but until that happens, we can all relish in Rhett’s admirable performance and dedication to the game.
