Although once attending college for a degree in engineering, Chris Stapleton found another calling in country music. Other than being a fan of the genre, the singer proved himself to be a top talent as a performer and writer. Having showcased his talents on and off the stage, Stapleton produced more than enough memorable moments like when he performed the national anthem at the Super Bowl. Besides his time in the spotlight, Stapleton also collaborated with stars like Sheryl Crow, Ed Sheeran, and even Vince Gill. Seeming to enjoy his time with Gill, Stapleton decided to perform one of the singer’s hit songs “Whenever You Come Around.”

With nothing more than a guitar and mic, Stapleton knows how to entertain a crowd. And not needing an elaborate set or massive band, the singer gently embraced the lyrics. Online, fans loved the cover, writing, “This guy is so incredible. He could sing birds from the shy. He is so gifted.” One comment added, “I love his voice! When he sang the national anthem I couldn’t hold back tears. One of my favorite songs.”
Fans continued their outpour of emotions, with one fan noting “What a voice you make me think of our son he passed away 14 months ago.” Another listener added, “tear in my eye.”

Chris Stapleton Has A Love For Danger
Continuing to expand his career in country music, Stapleton once discussed his time outside the studio and his love for danger. Explaining how he once wanted to Bungee jump, the country star told the Bobby Bones Show how it almost went wrong. “ See I got in line to do that one at one time. One of those things on a tower. And while I was in the line, it snapped on a guy. I’m not kidding. (There were) maybe 25 to 30 people in front of me. I was in the line and it snapped on a guy and… they had the big cushion below because maybe this happens all the time. I don’t know. The guy landed in the thing and he was fine, but that was the moment that I got out of line.”
Taking that as a sign, Stapleton also explored the idea of jumping out of a plane. But while wanting to do it – fame got in the way. “I don’t think I’m allowed to jump out of a plane. I don’t think my life insurance allows me to jump out of a plane. Listen I wanted to jump out of a plane at one point in time. I just never did.”
