Wynonna Judd and Ashley McBryde brought down Austin’s Moody Center with a powerhouse display, performing the ’80s classic on a smoke-covered stage. Dressed immaculately in black, the duo wowed with the ballad while set against a rouge-tinted backdrop and a rocking backing band. During their performance, the camera panned to see an arena full of stars singing along.

This is not the first time a Judd-McBryde collaboration has graced a stage. The pair teamed up late last year for The Judds: The Final Tour. Judd recruited McBryde to join her star-studded lineup for a final farewell after the loss of her mother Naomi Judd.

“I have never felt so overwhelmed by this much love and support!” Judd said of the tour at the time. “The emotions that flow while listening to the different generations of fans sing back to me each night has been other-worldly. I am so humbled by every artist that has come to sing with me on this tour. They’ve all managed to bring something so unique to The Judds music and I can say that no two shows are the same.”

Despite being up against each other for the CMT Performance of the Year Award, it was nothing but love between the two performers. This night will see Judd recognized alongside Brandi Carlile for their performance of “The Rose” from Naomi Judd: A River of Time Celebration. The Judds’ “Love Can Build A Bridge” from the 2022 CMT Music Awards will also receive a nod. McBryde will be recognized with LeAnn Rimes and Carly Pearce for their “One Way Ticket” performance from CMT Crossroads: LeAnn Rimes & Friends.
