Zach Bryan has been in the news quite a bit recently for not-so-stellar reasons involving his ex-girlfriend, Brianna LaPaglia. Now, it looks like the rising country star has made the news for something a little more positive recently; as well as musicians like Morgan Wallen, Sabrina Carpenter, and Taylor Swift.

Even though the alt-country artist has opted to skip the Grammys next year for unknown reasons, he’s still the biggest nominee at this year’s Billboard Music Awards. Zach Bryan just scored 21 whole nominations that span 18 different categories. He’s followed by pop star Taylor Swift, who has 17 nominations.
Country star Morgan Wallen has 11 nominations this year, and first-time Billboard nominee Sabrina Carpenter has nine nominations as well. Each of the above-mentioned artists (plus Drake) will be eligible for the Top Artist award.
Zach Bryan scored his nominations after blasting through the country, pop, and rock charts this year with two noteworthy albums: His self-titled record and The Great American Bar Scene. Bryan is up for Top Country Album, Top Rock Song, Top Male Artist, Top Country Artist, and a wealth of other awards at the Billboard Awards next month.
Outside of Zach Bryan, plenty of other country-leaning stars are up for a few pretty major awards. Post Malone and Morgan Wallen are nominated for their collab “I Had Some Help”. Shaboozey has been nominated for “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”. Beyonce has also been nominated for Top Country Album with Cowboy Carter. Dolly Parton is (ironically) up for Best Rock Album with her recent release Rockstar. It’s definitely going to be an interesting night!
Why Isn’t Zach Bryan Going To Be Part of the 2025 Grammy Awards?
Next year’s Grammy Awards ceremony, slated for February 2, will be one of the biggest events of the year. Surprisingly, Zach Bryan probably won’t be there, and he won’t be nominated for anything, either. Bryan won his very first Grammy award this year. However, he opted to not submit his most recent works to the 2025 Grammy award pool. It’s not exactly clear why he opted out of the prestigious award ceremony.
The 2024 Billboard Music Awards will air live on FOX and Paramount+ on December 12.
