3 People Charged and Detained in Connection to Liam Payne’s Death: Report

Since his tragic passing on October 16, Argentinian law enforcement authorities have been investigating the singer’s death and the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires. Recently, the investigation led to the detainment and charging of three individuals allegedly tied to Liam Payne’s passing.

Authorities apprehended and charged all three individuals for abandoning Payne after his death and for supplying him with narcotics, according to the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor. Neither the authorities nor the press have released the names of the individuals or their connection to Payne.

ABC World News and La Nacion Report Authorities claimed one of the individuals to be a “friend” of Payne’s who had been posing as his manager. The two other individuals, who are hotel workers, are allegedly responsible for supplying Payne with the drugs he had in his system upon his death. Lastly, the “friend” of Payne supposedly spent time with the lead singer prior to his death.

Authorities have also raided numerous locations as a result of the investigation, including the hotel where Payne passed. According to the Associated Press, law enforcement seized CCTV footage from the hotel’s cameras and several computer hard drives. Additionally, eight homes were raided, and the hotel room of one of the women who had reportedly been with Payne before his passing, per La Nación. In that raid, police took nine cellphones, a jar of marijuana, three computers, and two hard drives.

Liam Paynes’ Body is Returning Home

Almost a month after his passing, Payne’s body was returned to the UK and his family on November 7. The release of the body is due to the completion of the autopsy and toxicology report conducted by Argentinian authorities. A mixture of narcotics called “pink c—” was in the former One Direction member’s body when he passed. The autopsy showed that Payne passed away from internal and external bleeding caused by the fall, per the AP.

Liam Payne passed at 31-years-old and lives on through his son, Bear, and his fans. His bandmates, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomilson, and Zayn Malik have all posted their condolences on social media.
