3 Singer/Songwriters on the Brink of Stardom

It seems everything anyone in the music business ever talks about is who will be the next big thing. In recent years, it’s been Zach Bryan, Megan Moroney, and Morgan Wallen as the staple singer/songwriters. Though, as they start to become seasoned veterans in the industry; it’s time to see who the next class of artists will be.

Names such as Alana Springsteen, Ashley Cook, and Chayce Beckham come to mind. However, these people have fully solidified themselves as industry players and become household names. Contrary to these folks, various artists have signed big record deals, played with some of the best, and still not become the sensational acts they have the potential to be. So, here are three artists who are about to fill the air-waves all across the nation.

1. Sam Barber

The Missouri native has been on the music scene for approximately three years now. Starting his public career with his single, “Run Away High,” Barber has acquired vast amounts of fame within country music, but seemingly not any further. This is a shame given that Barber has opened for Ed Sheeran and most recently, had his single, “Tear Us Apart,” featured on the soundtrack of Twisters.

Barber writes like Tyler Childers, plays like Zach Bryan, and sings like nobody else you’ve ever heard. Best known for his song, “Straight and Narrow,” Barber has been everywhere in country music. Despite his presence in the scene, he has yet to garner the fame he deserves. That being so, keep your eyes and ears open, because this guy is about to sweep the scene.

2. The Castellows

It has been quite a while since we’ve seen a family of singer/songwriters, but the wait is over! Eleanor, Lily, and Powell Balkcom are from Georgetown, Georgia, and started their careers by posting their music on Instagram. Subsequently, the trio hit it off by releasing their first EP, A Little Goes a Long Way, back in February.

Singing harmony in near-perfect pitch, the trio has made quite the case for themselves. Recently, the group has been performing both domestically and internationally, as they performed at Under The Big Sky Festival and Revelree Music Festival in July. Expect these sisters to be the biggest family act since The Carter Family.

3. Wyatt Flores

Next up on the list of flourishing singer/songwriters is Wyatt Flores from Stillwater, Oklahoma. Like the Castellows, Flores’ humble beginnings started on Instagram. However, after posting consistently on his page for quite some time he released his debut single, “Travelin Kid,” in 2021. Furthermore, Flores actually just released, “Sober Sundays,” alongside The Castellows.

Similar to Barber, Flores’ talents reside in his voice and guitar-playing skills. He is a true writer and musician who seemingly does not get caught up in the pageantry of the music business. At only 23 years old, Flores is aiming for a status larger than himself.
