1. “Gone”

“Gone” has the same spirit as “Since U Been Gone” or “My Life Would Suck Without You.” Though it didn’t reach the same level of fame, it has the same carefree and empowered sentiment woven into it.

2. “People Like Us”

“People Like Us” is a guaranteed floor filler. On top of its insatiable beat, the empowering message found in the lyrics immediately pulls the listener in. Clarkson has many dance hits to her name, but this is a hidden gem to add to the rotation.

3. “Sober”

Clarkson shines on every song she sings, but it’s ballads where she really gets to flex her vocal range. “Sober” is a slow-burning ballad from Clarkson’s 2007 album, My December. Clarkson’s vocals build right alongside the instrumentation, eventually reaching peak levels during the final chorus. “Sober” is one of her most stunning vocal performances to date.

4. “You Thought Wrong”

“You Thought Wrong” is everything great about ’00s pop music. It certainly couldn’t be described as timeless, but that’s not a bad thing. This song drums up nostalgia for the era with its pure pop tones and rocky guitar line.

5. “Addicted”

Clarkson throws something edgy into the mix with this cut from Breakaway. The verses start off intimately, with Clarkson signing It’s like you’re a drug / It’s like you’re a demon I can’t face down. The chorus explodes into a powerful belt from Clarkson. The expanse of her vocal range is on full display in “Addicted.”
