It’s the end of an ‘Era.’ On Sunday (Nov. 3,) Taylor Swift wrapped up the very last U.S. show of her groundbreaking ‘Eras’ Tour in Indianapolis. Now, the “Fortnight” singer will head to Canada, where the billion-dollar juggernaut comes to an end Dec. 8 in Vancouver. As Swift celebrated a successful U.S. tour, an iconic live music venue in Nashville is remembering a much earlier career milestone for the 14-time Grammy Award winner.

Taylor Swift Made Her Debut At This Venue 20 Years Ago
Younger Swifties may not remember, but Taylor Swift got her start in country music. Her sophomore record, 2008’s Fearless, remains the most-awarded album in country music history.
Everyone has to start somewhere, and before she was selling out international arenas, Swift played for a crowd of 80 people at The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville on Nov. 4, 2004. She was just 14 at the time—still two years away from releasing her self-titled debut album.
Taking to social media, the Bluebird Cafe shared a picture of a fluffy-haired Swift performing at the tiny venue. “While she may have just wrapped up the last of the U.S. shows on The Eras Tour, 20 years ago today Taylor Swift was playing to a room of 80 people when she made her debut here at The Bluebird Cafe,” the caption read. “She’s always been a songwriter first and we feel so lucky to have been part of the start to her incredible story. The rest is history!”
One Instagram user commented, “You should be afraid of little old her. She will get a cooler indie record than… and become the music industry.”

“Like a Dreamscape”
On Nov. 4, 20 years after her Bluebird Cafe debut in front of 80 people, Taylor Swift took to social media to celebrate the final U.S. show of her ‘Eras’ tour. This one was in front of 207,000 people, however.
“Couldn’t have asked for a more magical way to end our US shows on The Eras Tour,” Swift wrote.
She added, “I know I’ll be looking back on this weekend and smiling because it was just like a dreamscape, all of it. Thank you to everyone who came out to see us on our last 3 American shows!!
