Beck, Phoenix Drop Joint Single “Odyssey” Ahead of Co-Headlining Tour

Beck and Phoenix – the indie rock dream team – is finally a reality. The two acts have joined forces, releasing a collaborative single ahead of their co-headlining tour.

Titled “Odyssey,” the new tune is the best of both musical giants, featuring Beck’s art pop flair and the new wave sensibilities of the rock outfit Phoenix. Beck and Phoenix’s Thomas Mars trade off on vocals against the song’s bright groove. Give the track a listen below.

Their upcoming co-headlining extravaganza across North America – billed as the Summer Odyssey Tour – will kick off on August 1 in Seattle, Washington. The 20-date trek will include stops throughout the West and into the East Coast, coming to a close on September 10 in Columbia, Maryland. See a full list of their co-headlining dates below.

Acts like Weyes Blood, Japanese Breakfast, Jenny Lewis, and Sir Chloe will join them as support along the way.

Last year was a storied one for both acts. Phoenix dropped Alpha Zulu, their seventh album and first in five years, while Beck participated in a number of star-studded collaborations, notably guesting on multiple Gorillaz tracks. He also dropped a surprise single, “Thinking About You,” earlier this year.
