BRELAND has gone the extra mile. When you release an album as lauded as Cross Country, you don’t need to add any more interest. Nevertheless, the country star has added six new songs to the album in a release dubbed Cross Country: The Extra Mile.

The album earned BRELAND a reputation as one of the most dynamic country singers around. He expertly blends his wide array of inspirations.
“I was trying to blend a lot of different genres together in the hopes of being able to bring a lot of different types of people together,” BRELAND told American Songwriter after sharing the original version of the album. “I feel like country music is such an incredible space for people to tell stories, and there are a lot of people that, for whatever reason, aren’t able to connect with it.
“I figured if I could reach across the aisle and bring in some elements from R&B, hip hop, pop, and gospel, we could create a project where people could all really agree on something,” he added.
