Underwood celebrated the milestone at the Opry over the weekend (May 13) with Deana Carter, actress Susan Lucci, and fans. The powerhouse vocalist turned to social media to share a glimpse into the special evening. The institution surprised Underwood backstage with a personalized multi-tier cupcake cake and a plaque that honors her long-standing membership.

“Happy anniversary to me!!!” wrote Underwood alongside the photo carousel. “It’s been a magical 15 years of being an @Opry member! It remains one of the greatest accomplishments of my career!!! Thanks to all who came out to celebrate! I truly feel honored…and loved!”

While sporting a lavender lace dress, Underwood stepped into the hollow circle to sing for a packed house sitting in the church-like pews. The “CareBears,” her devoted fandom, gifted a boutique of roses to the platinum-selling artist.

“To make this day special for you, we all got together to give you these!” read the card attached to the flowers. “Plus $250.00 to the C.A.T.S. Foundation! Happy 15th Opry Anniversary, Carrie! Thank you for everything. Here’s to many more years! We love you. Love, your CareBears.”

The C.A.T.S. Foundation was established by Underwood in 2009. The nonprofit helps to improve Checotah, Oklahoma – Underwood’s hometown. All donations go towards communal areas, the local school system, and an animal shelter focusing on adoption and spay-neutering.

Underwood has become a frequent performer at the Opry. Following her appearance on the hit competition show, she made her Opry debut on June 10, 2005. Randy Travis surprised Underwood three years later with an invitation to become a standing member. Oklahoma native Garth Brooks welcomed Underwood with a trophy during her spring induction ceremony.

The 8-time Grammy winner recently wrapped up her 43-city arena Denim & Rhinestones Tour and announced a SiriusXM Channel called Carrie’s Country. The station will be available starting in June.

The songstress will return to the Opry stage on June 6 to kick off CMA Fest week.
