Cher and Barry Manilow Among Stars Joining Kelly Clarkson on NBC’s ‘Christmas in Rockefeller Center’ Special

As “the most wonderful time of the year” approaches, NBC has revealed the full lineup for this year’s Christmas in Rockefeller Center special, scheduled to air live from New York on Wednesday, November 29, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Besides the previously announced Kelly Clarkson, who for the first time will serve as host and perform at the holiday extravaganza, the event’s lineup will feature Cher, Barry Manilow, Darlene Love, Chloe Bailey, and Carly Pearce.

Several other celebs are slated to perform, including Seth MacFarlane, Keke Palmer, Adam Blackstone, Liz Gillies, Manuel Turizo, and composer David Foster and his wife, singer/actress Katherine McPhee.

The two-hour special will feature a number of duets, including Foster and McPhee, MacFarlane and Gillies, Blackstone and Palmer, and Cher and Love. The latter duo likely will be performing Love’s classic 1963 holiday tune “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home),” as Cher’s new yuletide album, Christmas, features the two singing a duet version of the soulful song.

As has become tradition, the program will also feature the famous dance troupe, the Radio City Rockettes, who star in the annual Christmas Spectacular show held at New York’s Radio City Music Hall.

As always, the show will culminate with the lighting of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. This year’s tree is an 80-foot-tall, 12-ton Norway Spruce from Vestal, New York. The tree will be decorated with more than 50,000 colorful LED lights and will be crowned with a Swarovski star created with 3 million crystals.

Joining Clarkson to help light the tree will be the anchors of NBC’s Today show—Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Al Roker, and Craig Melvin.

Christmas in Rockefeller Center will be simulcast on the Peacock streaming service.

Clarkson recently commented on being chosen to host the show during an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show.

“I’m very excited. I love Christmas so much,” she said. “It’s so magical and my whole family is going to be there. We are very excited about Christmas in New York.”

Clarkson recently relocated to New York City, as did her daytime talk show, which is based at 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
