The humorous and friendly battle between country stars, Luke Byran and Blake Shelton, continues as Bryan recently got back at his old buddy on Taste of Country. Taste of Country is actually where this light-hearted confrontation started, as Shelton told the publication he could not beat Bryan in an arm wrestling match due to him using steroids because he is so vain.

The feud between Shelton and Bryan possibly reminds someone of a feud they had with a childhood best friend. It’s simple, comedic, snarky, and generally, a whole lot of fun when one can see for what it truly is. That being so, Bryan bit Shelton’s bait and perpetuated the narrative with his recent comments on Taste of Country.
Luke Bryan’s Clever Comeback
In response to Shelton’s steroid accusation, Bryan told the publication, “Do I look ‘roided? Is there ‘roids in donuts?” Also, in regards to the arm wrestling competition, Bryan also said, “No way he beats me in arm wrestling.” Luke Bryan’s comments are hilarious, especially from a male perspective, as it’s this kind of banter that makes for wonderfully memorable conversations. And it seems Bryan and Shelton, like most dudes, enjoy indulging in this type of dialogue.
Luke Bryan doubled down, stating, “Anything he can do, I can do better, I can do anything better than Blake” and “Your girlfriend is the only reason people are listening to your last two singles,” per People. Additionally, Bryan humorously added, “Well, Blake’s got a few years on me, but my intelligence is far superior than his” and “So, yeah, I think I got him. I need some more competition.”
At face value, both comments are awfully personal and attacking. However, don’t be too quick to judge a book by its cover. Again, this altercation is nothing more than two old friends exchanging burns, laughing hysterically, and then letting roll off their shoulders like raindrops. Personally, stuff like this is a grand ole time and we’re lucky enough to live vicariously through Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan. With all that in mind, is this battle over, or is it just getting started? Well, time will tell.
