Hilton Hotels & Live Nation

Never a company to follow the traditional business model, Live Nation has entered into a partnership with Hilton Hotels to offer free concert tickets to hotel guests. Any member of the hotel’s guest rewards program, known as HHonors, is eligible for the promotion, which runs through August 31.

Guest will receive a redemption code after registering for the promotion and completing an eligible stay at one of the over 3,000 hotels controlled by the Hilton company. Participants can then redeem this code for one general admission lawn ticket, subject to availability, to any concert at a participating Live Nation amphitheatre. Before completion, the transaction process will allow HHonors members to purchase additional general admission tickets.

In discussing the partnership, both sides remarked on the shared benefits for the two companies. Live Nation spokesperson, Maureen Ford, noted the “variety of Hilton Family hotel locations near Live Nation amphitheatres.” While, Hilton Hotels spokesperson Adam Burke commented “Hilton HHonors is always looking for ways to enhance our members’ travel experiences.”

The hotel industry cites HHonors as one of the leading guest rewards programs due to the large number of participating hotels, as well as the flexibility allowed within the program guidelines. For example, HHonors members participating in the Live Nation promotion still accrue membership points during their hotel stay.

Therefore, it is feasible that a HHonors member could redeem their membership points to travel to their concert destination, stay in a Hilton Family hotel, and see a free show, all while simultaneously earning another free Live Nation concert ticket, and accruing points towards another hotel stay. Let the vicious cycle begin.
