Jelly Roll Is for the People: Country Star Leaves Massive Tip After Picking up $11,000 Bill at Little Rock Chicken Restaurant

Although continuing to showcase his voice in country music, Jelly Roll never misses a chance to give back to others. Always looking for ways to give back to the community, the singer recently traveled to Arkansas for a performance at Simmons Bank Arena. Given that the venue sold out for the concert, Jelly Roll appeared in a giving mood as he asked fans to go to Gus’s Fried Chicken in Little Rock. Not only wanting fans to visit the restaurant, but the country star offered to pick up the tab. And when the fans were done eating, Jelly Roll didn’t just pay the bill, he left a massive tip.

Ahead of his concert, Jelly Roll shared a video on Twitter, explaining why Arkansas held a special place in his heart. “In case you missed the memo, here’s the short version. When I first started coming to Little Rock, Arkansas I played a place called Stickyz Chicken Shack. It had 200 people, I sold it out, I was so proud. Next time I came I played a place called the Rev Room, right here behind me. Right next to it is a place called Gus’s Chicken, we ate Gus’s Chicken every time we played the Rev Room, I played that place 10 times.”

Urging people to stop by Gus’s Fried Chicken, Jelly Roll insisted, “If you come to Gus’s Chicken in Little Rock, Arkansas today the food is on me, baby, come get you a meal. This one’s on me to honor our sold out show at Simmons Bank Arena. To all y’all artists playing Stickyz and playing the Rev Room… Keep playing baby, keep playing baby!”

Jelly Roll Tips Way Above 20 Percent

Fans listened to Jelly Roll as they poured into the restaurant, wanting to try one of the singer’s favorite spots. And according to the chicken shop, the star ended up having to pay a little over $11,000 for food. A small price to pay for a hitmaker like Jelly Roll, he didn’t just pay the bill as he left around $7,500 for a tip.

Although not every fans was able to visit the restaurant, they all loved the idea of giving back. “Very sweet and hope more people follow your lead in acts of kindness, energy and excitement !!”
