Kid Cudi Says ‘INSANO’ Will Have More Than 40 Songs

Last month, 11 days before Kid Cudi was meant to release his ninth solo album INSANO, he decided to delay the project by months, announcing a new date in January.

“I have to push INSANO back til January,” he wrote in a note to fans. “I want to make sure that everything lines up and I give v’all the best version of myself. This album is amazing and I want to make sure I present it in the best way for v’all.”

However, that did not stop his already aggressive rollout for the project, as he decided to quell fans’ complaints by putting out two of the LP’s songs on SoundCloud, titled “MOST AIN’T DENNIS” and “ILL WHAT I BLEED.”

Now, though, as we’re about three months from the arrival of INSANO, Cudi has revealed more information about the album’s track list. On Wednesday (October 3), the 39-year-old took to Twitter to announce that the project will be given an eventual deluxe edition and that overall, there will be over 40 songs on INSANO.

“There are 40+ songs on INSANO between the main album and deluxe(s),” he wrote. “Ur welcome. 2024 the take over begins.”

This will be, by far, the most amount of material Cudi has included in any of his full-length efforts. Up until now, the maximum number of songs he’s put on any of his LPs came on his experimental rock record Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven (2015), which contained 26 tracks. Typically, though, his projects never surpass 20 songs in total.

A few days before this latest development, Cudi released a song alongside Lil Durk and music video director Cole Bennett’s brand Lyrical Lemonade. The first-ever collaboration between Cudi and Durk, “Guitar In My Room” (September 29) serves as a promotional single for LL’s upcoming collective album, which will feature contributions from many of hip-hop’s most beloved acts.
