Back in 2008, Oasis released their seventh studio album Dig Out Your Soul. While marking their first album in nearly three years, many had no idea it would be their last album. With tension growing among members, Oasis decided to take a break in 2009. At that time, members like Liam Gallagher watched as the band sold over 75 million albums and won numerous awards. While fans continue to share their music, Gallagher recently shocked fans when he shared a cryptic message about some upcoming news from the band.

Just a few days ago, The Times reported that Oasis might be looking to make a return to the stage. Although just rumors for now, the outlet suggested Oasis currently prepared to take over Wembley Stadium for 10 shows in the summer of 2025. And adding his voice, or words, to the conversation, Gallagher replied to a fan who asked him about reunion dates. Gallagher simply wrote, “Nxt Friday.”
Those two words were more than enough to send fans into a frenzy. Hoping the rumors were true, fans speculated as to what the concert might mean for Oasis. Another fan reached out to Gallagher, explaining how he was getting people excited and hoped it was all true. Again, Gallagher revealed no details, only writing, “Your winding yourselves up. I’ve said NOTHING.”

Liam Gallagher Receives Praise From Bother Noel
Appearing all over Twitter, Gallagher teased more news about Oasis with yet another tweet. This time he shared his disdain for certain words in the dictionary – like “former.” He tweeted, “I never did like that word FORMER.”
Besides hinting at a future with Oasis, Gallagher received some praise from his brother Noel Gallagher when discussing his talent. “I can’t sing ‘Slide Away’ and ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’ and ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll Star’ and ‘Columbia’ and all that. I mean I can do it but it’s not the same. It’s the delivery or the tone of his voice and the attitude. I don’t have the same attitude as him.”
Breaking it down even more, Noel insisted, “Liam’s is a shot of tequila, right, and mine’s half a Guinness. Mine’s half a Guinness on a Tuesday. It’s alright. Liam’s is ten shots of tequila on a f**king Friday night.”
