It’s a great time to be a Miranda Lambert fan. She’s currently gearing up to release a new album which means there’s plenty of new music on the horizon. Lambert has already released two songs from the upcoming project. Both “Wranglers” and “Dammit Randy” were upbeat breakup songs. Now, she’s teasing a third new track on social media.
Lambert started treating fans to snippets of a song called “Alimony” on Sunday (July 21). She posted a video of her and members of her band dancing to the song. Then, she shared another featuring the song yesterday (July 22). In the second clip, Lambert walks by her tour bus in a series of different outfits. The caption reads, “Heading into a big week.”

Taking a look at her tour schedule, Lambert only has two shows this week. She’ll perform at Trustmark Park in Pearl, Mississippi on Friday and at the Rock the Country Festival in Anderson, South Carolina on Saturday. Then, she’ll have a couple of weeks off before she’s on the road again in mid-August. So, the “big week” could signify several things. For one, she could be hinting at the release of “Alimony” later this week. At the same time, she may be ready to share more information about her upcoming album before the week is over. She currently hasn’t shared the title or release date for the new project.
What We Know About the New Miranda Lambert Album
So far, we know that this will be an exciting release for fans of Miranda Lambert’s older albums. With a new label behind her, she’s in full creative control of her music. Additionally, she’s working with her longtime friend and collaborator Jon Randall on the record.
About the sound of the forthcoming album, Lambert said, “It’s very country. You can tell we made it in Texas.” She proved that with the first two samples of the collection. Both “Wranglers” and “Dammit Randy” fit the “very country” description. From the snippet of “Alimony” she’s shared on social media, it seems that the next release from the record will nicely alongside the first two.
Fans around the world will have to wait and see what happens next.
