Back in May 2000, Jeff Probst introduced America to the first cast of the new show Survivor. With a grand prize of $1,000,000, contestants not only had to survive the rough terrain they found themselves in, but they also needed to compete against each other. And in February 2025, Survivor will celebrate its 48th season. Although fans are sure to love the new season, it seems the producers are already looking to cast season 49. And when sharing some details about the show, Probst suggested that one contestant is “known around the world”, leading some to look at Dierks Bentley.

Discussing all things Survivor on the podcast On Fire with Jeff Probst, the host offered fans a little taste of season 49. Again, not giving up too many details, Probst said, “We have someone applying for Season 49 who is very accomplished and known around the world. They too are going through the same casting process, the same way every other player did, because this is everything.”
Not only revealing a high-profile celebrity who could be appearing on the show, Probst explained how the auditioning process only needed to show the person’s character. “We have to know you. We have to anticipate you. There’s not a right or wrong answer in casting. People often say, ‘How do I get on the show?’ Just be yourself. We just want to know who that version of you is.”
Although Probst was sure not to give up any names, fans of the show went digging. And they noticed that around the time the host discussed season 49, a single person followed Probst and all the casting directors of the show—Dierks Bentley.
Fans Offer Up Other Celebrities Other Than Dierks Bentley
The voice behind songs like “What Was I Thinkin’” and “Feel That Fire”, Bentley continues to share his love for country music. Back in 2023, he released his tenth studio album with Gravel & Gold.
While some presented evidence of Bentley being the celebrity cast member, other names suggested included Emma Stone, Tom Brady, Shaq, and even Billie Eilish. With names being tossed around and internet detectives on the case, it’s only a matter of time before the person is revealed.
