Tanner Frick made waves in the early days of The Voice season 26. His rendition of Morgan Wallen’s “Thought You Should Know” brought the 26-year-old country singer from Manchester, Tennessee a four-chair turn. Many fans were rooting for him to take home the big prize at the end of the season. However, that won’t be happening. Last night, he walked away from the show after rehearsals.

Last night (November 11) was the first night of the 3-Way Knockouts. Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg, and Gwen Stefani each put three members of their teams onstage to compete for a slot in the Playoffs. Unfortunately, Michael Bublé’s team was a competitor short. Before his team took the stage, host Carson Daly broke the bad news. “Michael, Tanner left the competition after rehearsals,” he revealed. So, Bublé went into the round with Cameron Wright and Tanner Sloane.

At the moment, Frick hasn’t shared why he chose to leave the competition. However, a recent post has led some to speculate about his reasons.
Tanner Frick Posts Snippet of New Song After Leaving The Voice
Yesterday, Tanner Frick took to social media to share a snippet of an unreleased song titled “Lonesome Road” with his fans and followers. He highlighted one of the song’s lines in the post’s caption, “Ain’t nobody want me anyway,” he wrote.
Frick started teasing “Lonesome Road” on social media earlier this month. At the time, he posted a video of him performing the song on a bridge. “New music on the way!!! ‘Lonesome Road’ by Tanner Frick,” he wrote in the post before reminding fans to tune in and watch him on The Voice.
It’s unclear if Frick’s post was meant to reflect his feelings about leaving The Voice or if it was just a reminder that he has new original music on the way. The fact that the line he chose to highlight in the caption sums up the overall feeling of the song further muddies the waters. Read the full lyrics from the snippet of the song he shared below.
These whiskey nights and neon lights they all fade away / But this lonesome road keeps callin’ me to stay. / So I’m back here, I’m on my own / I can’t seem to leave this life alone. / I guess I’m a lone wolf and a stray. / Ain’t nobody want me anyway.
