Whiskey Myers Books Acoustic Tour

Whiskey Myers is marking a career first with their upcoming acoustic tour. Since their debut in 2007, the band has released six studio albums. Now, they’re giving these albums the stripped-down treatment with their first-ever acoustic tour set for December 2023. For about a week, the band will embark on a limited-edition acoustic tour that takes them to various theaters across the U.S. The tour kicks off on December 1 at the Alabama Theatre in Birmingham, followed by a two-night stay at The Caverns in Pelham, Tennessee. The tour concludes on December 9 in Rockford, Illinois.

In the meantime, Whiskey Myers is set to open for Eric Church on several dates of his The Outsiders Revival Tour throughout September. The “Gasoline” singers have also been on their own solo tour since the start of 2023. Their latest album, Tornillo, was released in July 2022 and cracked the Top 10 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and No. 14 on the Rock Albums chart. One of the tracks featured on Tornillo was “Whole World Gone Crazy,” which premiered exclusively with American Songwriter.

“I wrote “Whole World Gone Crazy” back in April of 2020,” writer John Jeffers told American Songwriter at the time. “There was so much hysteria going on in the world before and around that time that this song just came out of me. Between COVID and everything else, everyone seemed to be going a little nuts. I felt like during all of that, most people were and still are, just normal people trying to make it another day. Trying to keep their job, praying to the big guy upstairs, and working on getting through some crazy times.”

Tickets for the Whiskey Myers & Friends Tour go on sale September 15 at 10 a.m. local time.
