Why Isn’t Adam Levine on ‘The Voice’ This Season? Fans React To Coaching Overhaul

Although the start of the week, Monday just got a whole lot better thanks to The Voice. Kicking off season 26 of The Voice tonight, the show is not just welcoming a new group of contestants, but also some new coaches. Sitting in the legendary red chairs will be Gwen Stefani, Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg, and Michael Bublé. Given that Reba walked away the winner of season 25 thanks to Asher HaVon, the country star will be looking to extend her winning streak. But for some fans, they might be a little confused given Adam Levine isn’t on the lineup. With the singer announcing his return, there appeared to be a little mixup.

Don’t worry, fans will get the chance to cheer on Levine as he teased his return to The Voice. But with the premiere of season 26 airing tonight, fans will have to wait until 2025 to see one of the original coaches return. Over the Summer, NBC decided to announce their lineup for season 27. That lineup included Kelsea Ballerini, Michael Bublé, John Legend, and Levine. But again, that isn’t until season 27.

Although a few months away, Levine shared his excitement to return to the show back in July. He posted a picture on Instagram showing the coaches for season 27. He wrote, “First week of taping Season 27 of @nbcthevoice with these three is done, love them, it’s great to be back!”
