Among the many artists who performed, either with or for Nelson, were: Beck, Bob Weir, Chris Stapleton, Dave Matthews, Dwight Yoakam, Emmylou Harris, George Strait, Jack Johnson, Jamey Johnson, Keith Richards, Kris Kristofferson, Lyle Lovett, Margo Price, Miranda Lambert, Nathaniel Rateliff, Neil Young, Norah Jones, Rosanne Cash, Sheryl Crow, Snoop Dogg, Stephen Stills, Tom Jones, Warren Haynes, and Ziggy Marley.

The two-CD/Blu-ray package will feature three hours of video footage from the concert, plus three bonus performances, as well as 39 audio tracks and a booklet. The digital content will also feature the full audio from the shows, while the two-LP set will offer select highlights.

To mark the announcement of the Long Story Short releases, Dave Matthews’ performance of “Funny How Time Slips Away” from the event was made available Thursday, October 19, via all digital service providers.

Mark Rothbaum and Keith Wortman, who executive produced the Willie 90 concerts, said in a statement, “This release captures the magic of these shows and enables audiences all around the world to experience these performances as if they were at the Hollywood Bowl with all of us.”

In other news, a new career-spanning compilation called Willie Nelson Greatest Hits, will be released on November 3, to coincide with Nelson’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The 25-track collection will be available on CD, as a two-LP set, and digitally. It can be pre-ordered here.

In addition, Nelson will release a new book titled Energy Follows Thought: The Stories Behind My Songs on October 31 that zooms in on his songwriting process and expansive song catalog.
