2024 IHeartRadio Music Festival Headliner Forced to Drop Out, “Was Looking Forward To Performing Some New Music”

Having spent almost two decades under the spotlight, A$AP Rocky gained stardom thanks to releasing songs like “Praising the Lord”, “Sundress”, and “I Smoked Away My Brain.” While gaining a few Grammy nominations, the rapper walked away with a BET Award and two BET Hip Hop Awards. And outside of the studio, A$AP Rocky appeared in films like Dope, Zoolander 2, and Monster. While preparing to take the stage at the IHeartRadio Music Festival, it appears the rapper sadly stepped down due to a mysterious illness.

Always willing to share updates with fans on social media, A$AP Rocky jumped on Instagram to share the news. He posted, “Unfortunately, I ended up getting sick & I won’t be able to perform at the iHeartRadio Music Festival. I’m sorry to my fans & thankful to iHeartRadio for the opportunity.”

While needing to step down, A$AP Rocky explained how devastated he was not to be performing at the festival. “I was looking forward to performing some new music for yall! Enjoy the show. The lineup is [Fire].”

A$AP Rocky Working To Release ‘Dont’ Be Dumb’ Be The End Of The Year

Although fans offered the rapper love and support when it came to his illness, many were shocked to learn he was going to showcase new music at the festival. Heartbroken over the decision, the rapper didn’t give any details as to what illness he was struggling with.

Looking past the festival, A$AP Rocky teased fans about his upcoming album titled Don’t Be Dumb. He wrote on Twitter last month, “Leaks & Sample clearances are disrupting the album. It’s been 6 years & I wanna make the best album ever. I’m sorry for the wait.”

Gaining over three million views, fans filled the comments with anticipation. “An explanation is all the fans really wanted, we can’t wait for the album As long as the project turns out great, people won’t care about how long it took to come out.” Another person added, “It’s okay bro. Take your time. Thank you for telling us.”

Still working through the logistics, A$AP Rocky plans to release Don’t Be Dumb just before the end of 2024.
