If you had the pleasure of catching Taylor Swift at her Eras Tour, you’d have walked away with one stark impression: Swift has confidence.

Anyone in Swift’s position would struggle to not walk with their head held high. It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that she is the world’s biggest star. Much of the music-listening world has had their eyes and ears firmly planted on the singer for the last few years. Moreover, her star doesn’t seem to be falling any time soon.

That being said, there is much we can learn from Swift’s confidence. Just watching her do what she does best rubs a little confidence off on the viewer. But, if you really want a pick-me-up, check out the six lyrics below.

1. You’re beautiful / Every little piece, love don’t you know? / You’re really gonna be someone / Ask anyone (“Stay Beautiful”)

Swift has been bolstering her fans since the very beginning of her career. In this cut from her self-titled record, Swift watches a boy named “Cory” from afar. Though it’s him that Swift is admiring in “Stay Beautiful,” the lines above could easily brighten the day of any Swiftie who is feeling a little less than perfect.

2. I’m shining like fireworks over your sad empty town (“Dear John”)

It’s customary after heartbreak to try and find some assurance that you’re doing better on your own. “Dear John” is one of Swift’s attempts at that goal. In the line above, Swift gets the upper hand by flexing her stardom. Even if they aren’t together anymore, Swift is still Swift.

Though we’re not Swift, we can still take a page out of her breakup book. Return to “Dear John” anytime you need to be reminded of your worth.

3. I don’t start it but I can tell you how it ends / Don’t get sad, get even / So on the weekends / I don’t dress for friends / Lately I’ve been dressing for revenge (“Vigilante Shit”)

There are many thoughts on the subject of revenge. Does it truly fix your problems? We don’t have the answer to that, but when Swift sings about it, we can’t deny that it sounds oh-so fun.

There is a certain confidence that comes along with getting even–a sense of accomplishment perhaps. The allure of that feeling paired with the sultry swing of “Vigilante Shit” is a dangerously seductive combination. If you like to take the high road, don’t listen to this Midnights cut.

4. But I got smarter, I got harder in the nick of time (“Look What You Made Me Do”)

“Look What You Made Me Do” is another worthy listen in the revenge song category. In the same spirit as “Vigilante Shit,” this track spurs on a vengeful spirit. Trying that persona on for size has a poising effect on the body.

5. Seems the only one who doesn’t see your beauty / Is the face in the mirror looking back at you (“Tied Together With a Smile”)

“Tied Together With a Smile” sees Swift become a comforting friend to the listener. She offers a hand to hold with the sobering lines above. Too often, we are our own worst critic. Swift steps in to wake us up out of our diffident state.

6. Best believe I’m still bejeweled / When I walk in the room / I can still make the whole place shimmer (“Bejeweled”)

Swift fully steps into her stardom on “Bejeweled.” She is unabashed in her confidence in this song, bordering on braggadocious. Listening to this song instantly puts the listener in that mind frame too.
