Blake Shelton Shares His Thanksgiving Rules and Traditions

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have a big family and go “all out” for Thanksgiving. That means numerous people bring dishes for the big meal. This is where the “Old Red” singer’s holiday rule comes into play. “Never say no to any kind of food. Whatever you want to try, I’ll try it. Just bring it on,” he said.

He also shared a little about the Thanksgiving dinners they share. “I’ve already got my turkey bought. I got two turkeys put away in case there’s a shortage for some reason,” he revealed. “We can do our whatever weird one we come up with, and then Gwen can make the traditional recipe,” he added.

“We go all out for Thanksgiving. We’ve got a huge family, so we feel good about making a bunch of food. Normally, it’s like ‘Oh damn, we’re already out of stuffing? How can that possibly be?’ We’re excited about it,” he explained.

While Shelton and Stefani have a big family, they have a creative way to use their leftovers. “I heard a guy on the radio a couple of years ago talk about if you have leftover stuffing, the next morning put it in your waffle iron and make those stuffing waffles,” Shelton shared. “Now, I do that. Now I make enough that there’ll be some leftover,” he added.

Overall, though, Shelton is an average guy despite his stardom. He’ll spend Thanksgiving eating a huge meal with his family and watching football.
