ARTIST: CARSON HENLEY

SONG:GO UNDER

BIRTHDATE:  8-8-1985

HOMETOWN: Kent, WA

CURRENT LOCATION: Seattlangeles (I split my time between the two cities)

AMBITIONS: I want to be able to play my music for people around the world. Experiencing that feeling of others being touched by my music the way music touches me would just be surreal.

TURN-OFFS: Negativity.

TURN-ONS: Sense of humor and musical taste. Also a serious love of sports is pretty amazing.

DREAM GIG: Playing alongside Stevie Wonder. Anywhere.

FAVORITE LYRICS:  This is possibly the hardest question I could ever be asked. It’s hard enough picking a song that I love or a favorite artist. But a favorite lyric?!?! Nearly impossible. But the first line that jumped into my head was from “I cant make you love me” by Bonnie Raitt

“I can’t make you love me, if you don’t”

I recently experienced this first hand and just kept coming back to this song and how true that line actually was. It’s not over dressed. It couldn’t be said any truer or with any more honesty. Simple and perfect.

CRAZIEST PERSON I KNOW: My friend Ryan.

He lost his front teeth in an accident and loved to put his dentures all over in random places to gross people out. Also nothing is too stupid or crazy for him. I’m pretty sure if I challenged him to anything he would do it.

SONG I WISH I WROTE:

Jeff Buckley – Last Goodbye

Had to pull it up and play it while writing this just cause I needed to…I love this song for so many reasons. It has some of the coolest chord changes throughout the entire song, and Jeff sang such an amazing vocal line. Then that bridge, it just rips! Finally a freakin’ shweet (my mom says i have a potty mouth…I’m working on it) musical interlude before the chorus…well, technically i don’t think he even sings the same lines twice – so there really isn’t a chorus. How can you make such a fantastic song that is catchy without a repeating chorus? Wow. Rip Jeff.

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH:

This is such a hard question. I’m going to self impose boundaries in order for me not to re-write this 300 times. So, I limited myself to people who were still living. Also, Obama and all major political figures would be left off the list. With that said, here is my list.

Stevie Wonder, Mark Cuban, Dave Grohl, Ellen Degeneres,  Jennifer Lawrence.

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE:

Jamie Cullum at the paramount. Seeing him for the first time was life changing. He inspires me so much as a musician, artist, and performer. I have seen him 3 more times since and each time I leave so inspired. I drive home in silence just to let my mind process the experience I just had. I want to be better because of seeing him.
