Sister duo The Command Sisters have a haunting country sound complete with gorgeous harmonies and a sound so polished you would never believe that someone their age could have possibly recorded their music. They have made huge headway in the Canadian music scene and have been showcased at The Bluebird Cafe. They’re expecting to release an album sometime this year.

ARTIST: Charlotte from the Command Sisters

SONG: “Bad

BIRTHDATE: May 24, 1995

HOMETOWN: Edmonton, Alberta Canada

CURRENT LOCATION: We are based out of Canada but split our time between here and Nashville.

AMBITIONS: We have a goal to be successful with our music and to continue creating and growing as artists. I also am writing a novel that I am really excited about.

TURN-OFFS: Try not to get too serious about this but arrogance and competitiveness aren’t our favourites things.

TURN-ONS: Humour, humour, humour.

DREAM GIG: Sell-out in our hometown or play on Mars 🙂

FAVORITE LYRIC: ‘At the first glimpse of light, I’ll be looking for you, Lord’ by Scott Orr from the song ‘In the Belly of the Whale’.

CRAZIEST PERSON I KNOW: def my sister, Sarah

SONG I WISH I WROTE: Alone (performed by Heart and written by Bill Steinberg and Tom Kelly)

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman from Sherlock (the BBC series), Aron Ralston (from the book/movie 127 Hours), Nick Vujicic (A Life Without Limbs) and … artist prodigy Akiane Kramarik.

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: Too many to name but there have been a few moments where you just forget where you are and it becomes an experience. The swedish group Baskery (with their awesome punk/opera/folk) and Sara Jaroz playing the Decemberist’s song ‘Shankhill Butchers’ at the Edmonton Folk Fest during an incoming thunderstorm are two that pop into my mind.

I WROTE THIS SONG: This is a song I wrote for another artist but people ask for it all the time lately. It’s called ‘Bad’. Just a song I wrote observing a musician in Nashville when he was with the ladies 🙂
