I WROTE THIS SONG: I wrote, “Waiting For Thunder (Malala)” because I was touched by the story of Malala Yousafzai, a young girl in the Swat Valley of Pakistan who stood up for education of girls’ in her country where the Taliban was shutting down all the girls’ schools. She faced an assassination attack by the Taliban and still did not let fear dissuade her mission. I wanted to share her story because the world needs more people like Malala Yousafzai.
