ARTIST: Joel Madison Blount

SONG: Hold On

BIRTHDATE: July 17th

HOMETOWN: Mobile, AL

CURRENT LOCATION: Birmingham, AL

AMBITIONS: to love and care for my family while continuing to write and perform music

TURN-OFFS: crowds, sour cream, and small talk

TURN-ONS: sweet melodies, rebels and bourbon

DREAM GIG: Performing in a room full of folks singing along with my songs.

FAVORITE LYRIC: “Fear only talks to those who listen”  from Leagues – Friendly Fire

CRAZIEST PERSON I KNOW: DJ David Bullock

SONG I WISH I WROTE: Ain’t No Sunshine

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: Angela & Gabe, Jimi Hendrix, Duane Allman and Jimmy Page.

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: Lenny Kravitz – February 6, 1999 – Fox Theater, Atlanta.  My buddy Jared and I snuck into the venue before the show to watch Collective Soul soundcheck, got busted and somehow ended up hanging out backstage with Lenny’s band before the show.

I WROTE THIS SONG: for a friend struggling with depression – as encouragement to hold tight to his faith and the ones who love him.  Hold On is from my latest album entitled Taming The Wind.
