ARTIST: Milktooth

SONG: Wild Before Our Eyes

BIRTHDATE: 2009

HOMETOWN:Nashville is the bands hometown, one of us actually grew up here, the rest are from Omaha, NE Youngstown, OH, and I am from East Hartland, CT

CURRENT LOCATION: Nashville

AMBITIONS: or Contentment, but ya gotta serve somebody.

TURN-OFFS: people who talk loudly but don’t have much to say.

TURN-ONS: funny people, and you know symmetrical features.

DREAM GIG:  I have always wanted to be the musical guest on SNL

FAVORITE LYRIC: Thats just impossible.  One lyric that grabbed me and shook me recently is from David Bowie’s newest album “The Next Day”. In the song “Love is Lost” the second verse goes “you country’s new, your friends are new your house and even your eyes are new, you maid is new and your accent too. But your fear is as old as the world”.  The whole vibe of the track sets it up this lyric, they had to be intentionally paired, and I dig when songs are treated that way, and not like “okay here’s chord chart, here’s a lyric sheet, I’m gonna press record and then when we’re done we’ll get lunch orders.”

CRAZIEST PERSON I KNOW: friend, &  lapsteel/harmonica/omnichord man-about-town Jason Goforth.

SONG I WISH I WROTE: I love the simple & sweet tale of unrequited love that unfolds in “You Don’t Me” by Cindy Walker & Eddy Arnold.  I don’t know that there is a better version of it than Ray Charles’ from “Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music”

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: I’m strange, cause even though this is a totally hypothetical question in my mind i’m like “well is this a formal dinner or just impromptu?” “are we all somehow magically friends or have I won some sort of contest where they’re all there” and then like “oh god, i’m not dying am I?”  No sir, you won’t trick me into planning my last meal.  Well played though.

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: the best concert I saw this year was Black Rebel Motorycle Club at the Cannery Ballroom.  Visceral rock and roll energy, and bright white light.

I WROTE THIS SONG: w/my bandmates Adam Bokesch, and David Condos in our rehearsal space, behind my house in East Nashville.
