ARTIST:  Norman McGill

SONG: Walk On

BIRTHDATE: August 15

HOMETOWN: Farragut, TN

CURRENT LOCATION: Seattle, WA

AMBITIONS: Writing music that affects people – one day earning a living for it.

TURN-OFFS: Being too serious, standing too close (especially in the grocery checkout). Also, the opposite of the turn-ons below…

TURN-ONS: A sense of humor and sarcasm, a pretty smile, having a passion for something

DREAM GIG: Playing the Grammys OR Saturday Night Live

FAVORITE LYRIC: “For all that we struggle, for all we pretend. It don’t come down to nothing except love in the end.” – David Gray, “Shine”

CRAZIEST PERSON I KNOW: Probably my 6 year old daughter.

SONG I WISH I WROTE: Waaaay too many to choose from, but I’d probably go with “Imagine” – John Lennon

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: My wife, Paul McCartney, Bono, Neil Armstrong, any U.S. President

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: Riding in a van with a bunch of friends from Knoxville, TN to Atlanta, GA to see U2 on the Achtung Baby tour. It was my first time seeing U2, and they were in their prime. Plus, the show (at the time) was a sensory overload of technology. We also got lost in downtown Atlanta before driving home through the middle of the night.

I WROTE THIS SONG: after being laid off from a longtime job.I was mentally worn down, but thinking about how grateful I was that I had a wife and daughter who were there for me. No matter what comes, we all walk on… together.
