ARTIST: Rabbit Wilde

SONG: “Howl”

HOMETOWN: Mount Vernon, Washington

CURRENT LOCATION: Bellingham, Washington, but mostly a van.

AMBITIONS: Hang out with a lot of animals, make a lot of people dance, contribute to the reversal of apathy being idealize.

TURN-OFFS: Ghosts, grammatical shorthand in all cases except when being used by Prince, and lack of proper recycling receptacles.

TURN-ONS: Punctuation, floral prints, orchestral arrangements of popular music, vegan diners, suspended chords, kits, and when we get to our hotel and there’s a Law & Order: SVU marathon on TV.

FAVORITE LYRIC: “She said, “honey, take me dancing,” but we ended up sleeping in a doorway/with the bodegas and the lights on upper broadway” by Paul Simon, “Diamonds On The Soles Of Her Shoes.”

SONG I WISH I WROTE: “This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)” by David Byrne.

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Jason Isbell, Carrie Brownstein, Tom Waits, Patti Smith

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: Leaving an Arcade Fire show circa 2005 at the Paramount Theatre to an encore on the stairs of the lobby.

I WROTE THIS SONG BECAUSE…sometimes everything sucks and you just have to drink whiskey and sing really loud about it.
