ARTIST: Shook Twins

 SONG: Shake

 BIRTHDATE: 7/28/1984

 HOMETOWN: Sandpoint ID

CURRENT LOCATION: Portland, OR (although on tour and currently in Chicago, IL)

AMBITIONS: To keep living this life while getting better at it…and make being an artist more lucrative.

TURN-OFFS: Bashy symbols and people who have too many feelings.

TURN-ONS: Living in the moment and songs with a solid groove.

DREAM GIG: Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver, CO  and The Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, CA!

CRAZIEST PERSON I KNOW:  Our friend Stoney, the land pirate. We have written 2 songs with him in them and we cover his Pirate Song.

SONG I WISH I WROTE: “The Times They Are a-Changin”  dang Dylan, why didn’t I think of that!

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: Bjork, Brad Pit – duh, Oprah, Ani Difranco, The Dali Lama. Hopefully this wouldn’t be all at the same time. For one, my brain would explode and that would create some awkward situations.

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: When I got to see Bjork at the Gorge Amphitheater in Washington. She played all the songs that I needed and I couldn’t tell whether she was 7 or 45 years old. She is a big influence and so majestic.

I WROTE THIS SONG: “Shake” after our bass player Kyle told us about the earthquake that may or may not come to the west coast in our life time and kill us all. This song depicts the idea of a couple who rebuild their lives from the soil and their hands, after the earthquake hits. It’s a chance to recreate everything in this country, but we are shown that the “other side” will always still exist when they get robbed by an ignorant greedy man “by the dim moonlight.”
