ARTIST: Steve Everett

SONG: “Backbeat”

BIRTHDATE: 11/28/1984

BIRTHPLACE: Albany, GA

AMBITIONS:  Tour the world playing music, write for other people and myself, act, stand-up comedy, scratch golfer, great friend/lover/listener/boyfriend/father?/husband?, be the best version of myself I possibly can be…

TURN-OFFS:  Greed and Selfishness.

TURN-ONS:  Humor, meekness, good smells, great food, travel, night.

DREAM GIG: Some kind of music and golf pro-am tour where I just get to play golf with Tiger Woods by day and play shows by night. Ask him about it if you see him before me.

TV ADDICTIONS: Sportscenter

CELEBRITY CRUSH: Justin Bieb… I mean, Natalie Portman.

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: NEEDTOBREATHE at The Loft in Atlanta. They liked the venue’s  sound guy so much…they stole him that night. I mean it. He left the venue with them.

THE BOOK THAT CHANGED MY LIFE: The Outliers by: Malcolm Gladwell.

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: I’m actually WAY too prepared for this one. Will Ferrel, Macklemore, Ryan Gosling, Daniel Day Lewis, & Dave Grohl. Yes, I’m aware those are all men.

I NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT: First opening the door. No, but really… a cigar.

I WROTE THIS SONG: After a few sleepless nights in a row. I was getting so down about how slowly my career was moving forward. One day, I just kind of realized it wasn’t my job to be successful, it was my job to be the best I could be. The rest is all conjecture anyway.
