ARTIST: Veronica Ballestrini

SONG: “Lonely Alone”

BIRTHDATE: October 29th

HOMETOWN: Waterford, CT

CURRENT LOCATION: Nashville, TN

AMBITIONS: Continue to write songs people can identify with., perform on the Grand Ole Opry,  never take a single day for granted, and always stay true to who I am

TURN-OFFS: Messiness, dirtiness, and when you smile at someone and they don’t smile back 😉

TURN-ONS: Clean, organized, happiness. Anyone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously 🙂

DREAM GIG: Grand Ole Opry!

FAVORITE LYRIC:  “These feelings won’t die, because I keep them alive, feed them with old memories… They won’t let me breathe.” Lyrics from my song “Death of Me”

CRAZIEST PERSON I KNOW: My mom. I’m a lot like her. We’re both pretty crazy. 😉 But she is my biggest supporter and my biggest role model.

SONG I WISH I WROTE: House That Built Me…  Such a beautiful song that most people can relate to.

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: Johnny Cash, Taylor Swift, Elvis, Carrie Underwood, Dolly Parton…

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: The first concert I ever went to… Dolly Parton! The way she delivered her lyrics was so delicate. That night truly inspired me to learn guitar. She’s just beautiful! 🙂

I WROTE THIS SONG: I wrote “Lonely Alone” about the ending to a relationship… Right before it’s completely over, there is that time when you know it is coming to an end, but you stay together…. He was physically with me, but his mind and heart were not… I looked in his eyes, and he wasn’t there… The person I learned to love, was somewhere else…

I’d much rather be lonely alone, than lonely with someone, that is the saddest place to be.
