Ozzy Osbourne Visits Black Sabbath Mural, Gifts Farewell Concert Tickets to Artist

Black Sabbath just made one artist’s day. Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward recently paid a visit to a mural that was created in their honor by an artist known as Mr. Murals.

The musicians were on sight in Birmingham to sign the mural. While there, Mr. Murals told BBC that the band made sure to chat with him.

“Every single one of them took the time to speak to me and were so kind,” Mr. Murals told the outlet. “It’s mental. I’m still not over it.”

Not only that, but Osbourne gifted the artist two tickets to Black Sabbath’s July Back to the Beginning concert.

“It’s just mad,” Mr. Murals said. “It’s going to take a while to sink in.”

The artist reiterated as much on Instagram, quipping, “I caught these four smartly dressed gentleman writing their names on the mural this morning.”

“Genuinely, blown away by meeting them all this morning, having them all come out to see the artwork and each sign their portraits was something special and a memory forever,” Mr. Murals added. “Four humble gentleman with godly gifts.”

Black Sabbath’s Final Show

Black Sabbath’s upcoming gig, which will take place at Villa Park on July 5, is billed as the band’s last-ever show. It will slo be the first time the band’s original members have reunited on stage in two decades.

Amid his battle with Parkinson’s disease, Osbourne has been candid about the amount of preparations required for him to perform one last time.

“I haven’t done any physical work for the last six-and-a-half, seven years. By hook or by crook, I’m gonna make it there,” Osbourne said during a recent episode of his SiriusXM show. “I’ve got this trainer guy who helps people get back to normal. It’s hard going, but he’s convinced that he can pull it off for me. I’m giving it everything I’ve got.”

“All I can say is I’m giving 120 percent,” he added. “If my God wants me to do the show, I’ll do it.”
