While staying at the CasaSur hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, former member of One Direction, Liam Payne, sadly passed away when he fell from the third-story balcony. Before the singer’s death, hotel staff grew concerned for Payne when he became “aggressive.” Calling the police, the hotel manager believed Payne to be under the influence of drugs. Shortly after arriving, authorities found Payne’s body. With the music industry shocked by the news, Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood decided to honor the late singer by posting a time they shared the stage together.

Wanting to remember Payne for his amazing talents on and off the stage, Wood shared a video of them performing on stage. And besides entertaining the crowd of screaming fans, Wood appeared to enjoy himself as he wanted to do an entire set after their performance. The musician wrote, “I am shocked and saddened to hear of the death of Liam Payne. It was a pleasure to work with him on our X Factor performance. God bless Liam, thinking of all his loved ones. He will be dearly missed.”

Getting his big break in the music industry thanks to appearing on The X Factor, the show also took a moment to honor Payne. Posting a picture of the singer, The X Factor explained, “We are heartbroken by the sad passing of Liam Payne. He was immensely talented and, as part of One Direction, Liam will leave a lasting legacy on the music industry and fans around the world. Our thoughts are with his friends, family and all who loved him.”
