Tucker will appear on The Mansion Entertainment Group float, the final float in the parade, and is set to arrive in style on a Black Friesian horse. The parade celebrates the New Year’s Day holiday and is followed by the Rose Bowl Game, a college football game held at the Rose Bowl athletic stadium in Pasadena. The 134th Rose Parade, whose theme this year is “Turning the Corner,” will air on Monday (Jan. 2) at 11 a.m. ET. Check local listings.

“Ready As I’ll Never Be,” co-written by Tucker and her frequent collaborator Brandi Carlile, is featured in the documentary, The Return of Tanya Tucker, which was released in October via Sony Pictures. The documentary won the Audience Award at South by Southwest Film Festival and was nominated for Best Music Documentary at the 2022 Critics Choice Awards.

The single is Tucker’s first new music release since her 2019 album, While I’m Livin,’ which was named Best Country Album at the 2020 Grammy Awards, while “Bring My Flowers Now” won Best Country Song. The singer also starred in her first lead role in an original film, A Nashville Country Christmas, that’s now streaming on Paramount+ and aired on CMT.

Heading into 2023, Tucker has booked a slot at the Two Step Inn festival in Georgetown, Texas, on April 15. Zach Bryan, Tyler Childers, Wynonna Judd and Mavis Staples are also on the bill for the two-day event.
