In its opening weekend alone, Luke Combs‘ 2024 stadium tour has broken a record by selling 1 million tickets. Sixteen of the tour’s scheduled 25 shows are currently sold out. Combs’ 2024 stadium tour matches the sales from last year’s U.S. stadium run.

The sold-out shows will be held at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, East Rutherford’s MetLife Stadium, Santa Clara’s Levi’s Stadium, Milwaukee’s American Family Field, Buffalo’s Highmark Stadium, and Cincinnati’s Paycor Stadium. Prior to the stadium tour, Combs will play shows around the world, making stops in London, Stockholm, Brussels, Amsterdam, and several other major European cities.

This year, Combs has also been nominated for four CMA Awards. Combs’ fourth studio album, Gettin’ Old, was released on March 24. In an interview with American Songwriter‘s own Ali Patton, Combs discussed the differences between his 2022 album Growin’ Up and his latest endeavor.
“It felt like Growin’ Up was the last record… of what my sound used to be and where it’s kind of evolving to,” Combs said “We really did shift our focus production-wise as soon as that record came out and we knew we wanted [Gettin’ Old] to sound different.
“It’s still rooted in what we’ve always done. It’s the same songwriters,” Combs added. “It’s just the song ideas and the production are different based on where I’m kind of at in my life right now.”
