Loc (born Anthony Terrell Smith) may also be known to movie fans for his roles in films like Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. But when it comes to his music, he earned two top hits in the 1980s—”Wild Thing” and “Funky Cold Medina,” which hit No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.

Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch

Speaking of movie stars, before Mark Wahlberg was starring in films like The Departed, he was a musical artist. The Boston-born performer, who has been nominated for two Oscars, came up as part of Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, known for their two songs “Good Vibrations” and “Wildside.” The former especially remains a big hit thanks to its electrified chorus.

Young MC
