3 Modern Country Songs That Will Make You Run Through a Wall

Country music is geared for a lot of things. Don’t get us wrong, country music is great for a cry or a slow dance, but there is seemingly nothing better than listening to a country music song that makes you want to run through a brick wall.

Whether it be bluegrass, Americana, or any other sub-genre of country music, there are songs out there that hype you up to a fault. However, if you’re in the market for that song and that kind of feeling, then give these three modern country songs a listen.

“Dust in a Baggie” by Billy Strings

Billy Strings is arguably the best bluegrass player, and undeniably the most popular at the time being. Regarding the latter, the song that helped him gain his notoriety was his blazing bluegrass single, “Dust in a Baggie.” Released in 2013 on his debut album, Rock of Ages, Strings’ single will inevitably make your heart rate skyrocket.

Thanks to the song’s lighting-fast tempo, Billy Strings acquired loads of fame and to this day, it is one of his most notable tracks. If you’re looking for something to get your blood bubbling, then this song is an absolute must.

“Railroad of Sin” by Sturgill Simpson

Sturgill Simpson never ceases to bring a level of authenticity and originality to his music. That being so, the man can perfectly capture any emotion in any given song, and he does that exceptionally well on his country music track, “Railroad of Sin.”

Released in 2013 on his album, High Top Mountain, Simpson’s song perfectly encapsulates feelings of paranoia, rage, and an overstimulating sense of raw energy. If you are a fan of this rendition’s punch, then give his bluegrass cover a try as well.

“Ramblin’” by The Red Clay Strays

The Red Clay Strays made an enormous splash into country music thanks to their songs “I’m Still Fine” and “Wondering Why.” Both those songs are phenomenal heart-throbbing tunes, however, they aren’t the type of songs that enact a surge of energy. The song that does that is “Ramblin’,” which was released in 2024 on their album, Made by These Moments.

The song itself gives off notes of Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers, so you know the ear-bleeding energy is there. Regardless of the parallels, the song by itself accomplishes the very thing you need it to accomplish. Which is to tune out, get a bit angry, and let the music take control.
