Bon Iver Names His Favorite Song

Videos by American Songwriter

Pitchfork just posted an interview with Volcano Choir, the Wisconsin indie rock group featuring Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, in which they poll the band about their favorite pop cultural artifacts.

When asked to name his favorite song, Vernon took it back to 1994.

JV: Indigo Girls: “Fugitive.” It’s better than anything else. It’s about breathing and dying and loving and dying. I got to tour with them this summer. It was the absolutely biggest deal ever for me and my sister and my mom.

Best song ever? Take a listen and tell us if you agree.
