Dylan Pays a Visit to John Lennon’s House

The Dylan watchers at Rolling Stone’s Smoking Section report on an interesting phenomenon occurring of late; Bob Dylan visiting the childhood homes of rock stars. And not just any rock stars, but two of the finest songwriters to ever string a guitar — John Lennon and Neil Young.

Dylan was spotted on a tour bus recently in Liverpool, checking out John Lennon’s childhood digs in Woolton. “He took one of our general minibus tours,” said a spokeswoman for the National Trust.  “People on the minibus did not recognize him apparently. He could have booked a private tour but he was happy to go on the bus with everyone else.”

Last November, Dylan took a road trip up to the north country to visit Neil Young’s old stomping grounds in River Heights, Winnipeg. “I just felt compelled,” he told Rolling Stone. “I wanted to see his bedroom. Where he looked out of the windows. Where he dreamed. Where he walked out of the door every day. Wanted to see what’s around his neighborhood in Winnipeg. And I did just that.”
