The White Stripes frontman can’t stop hitting “record.”

The blog-o-sphere is abuzz over the possibility of a Jack White solo album. White, a member of the White Stripes, Raconteurs, Dead Weather, and probably several other bands we don’t know about yet, has recorded sans band before (the Cold Mountain soundtrack), but has yet to release his own solo joint. According to the magazine Music Connection, “White hopes to start working on a solo album at the tend of 2009.”

Read the interview here, where you’ll find White talking about studio gear, recording techniques, and when its okay and not okay to record Coke commercials.

The Dead Weather play the Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien June 18. Their debut album, Horehound is out July 13. White talks to the London Times in a new interview about the group here.
